Light, simple neck support for the people you love.

A padded chin rest on a one-dial column that rests on your chest. Your head is held level, so your neck can take a break.

  • One strap, one dial, because there's nothing to pump, lace, or figure out.
  • Holds their head level, because the chin rest carries part of its weight down to a base on the chest.
  • Open at the throat, because it doesn't wrap the neck in foam.
  • Just 120g, because we left out everything bulky that made you stop wearing the old ones.

The 3pm problem

It's 3pm. Your neck feels like it's holding up a bowling ball.

You didn't hurt your neck. You didn't fall. You didn't sleep wrong. You just… worked.

Hours of leaning toward a screen. Chin drifting forward a little more every hour. By mid-afternoon there's a dull ache at the base of your skull.

Head tilt vs. neck load The further your head tips forward, the heavier it feels to your neck.
  1. 0° 10–12 lb4.5–5.5 kg
  2. 15° ~27 lb~12 kg
  3. 30° ~40 lb~18 kg
  4. 45° ~49 lb~22 kg
  5. 60° ~60 lb~27 kg

Modelled estimates, not measurements. Hansraj K.K., “Assessment of stresses in the cervical spine caused by posture and position of the head,” Surgical Technology International, 2014.

And “just sit up straight” never lasts. The moment you focus, your head drifts forward again.

Sound familiar?

You've tried to fix this before. Here's why it didn't stick.

  • Stretches

They feel great for ten minutes. Then you sit back down for seven more hours.

  • Posture straps

They pull your shoulders back, but they don't hold up the weight of your head.

  • Bulky collars

Maybe they helped. But they were hot, slow to put on and looked medical, so they ended up in a drawer.

  • Massage & physio

Real care, and worth it. But the sessions end, and the desk days don't.

None of them failed because neck support doesn't work. They failed because they weren't there during the hours that tire your neck out.

The best neck support in the world does nothing in a drawer.

So we built one light, quick and simple enough that you'd actually wear it.

How it works

Meet the 2-Point Lift. Your head, held level.

Two points of support. One dial. The chin rest takes part of your head's weight down to a base on your chest, so your neck gets a break.

  1. Chin rest

Padded, contoured and vented. It sits under your chin and holds your head level, so it stops drifting forward.

  2. Chest base

The U-shaped shell rests on your upper chest and collarbones and takes the load. Padded side wings keep it steady.

  3. The Lift Dial

Turn the thumb dial to raise or lower the chin rest, with 40mm of lift.

See the difference

No more "sit up straight."

You've reminded yourself a hundred times. NAPE holds your head level for you, so there's nothing to remember while you work.

Before: working at a desk without NAPE, head leaning forward
Before
With NAPE: the same person working with her head held level
With NAPE

How to wear it

On in 5 seconds.

  1. 01

    Place it

Open the side strap. Rest the base on your upper chest and your chin on the chin rest.

  2. 02

    Fasten it

Wrap the mesh strap around the back of your neck and press the tab closed at the side.

  3. 03

    Dial it

Turn the dial until your chin sits level. Held, not pushed. Then get back to your day.

Support while you work. Chin tucks when you break.

How long to wear it

Start with 15 minutes, 2 times a day. As your neck gets used to it, build up to 45 minutes.
Wear it during focused work, reading, or rest.

Physio and massage are real care from real experts. NAPE isn't a replacement for them. It's support for the hours in between.

Made for your day

For the hours that tire your neck.

Focused work, reading, a long scroll. NAPE is built for upright rest, whenever your head has been doing too much.

Desk days

The desk marathon

For the 9-to-6 that's really 8-to-8. Support through the focused hours, the reading, and the calls on mute.

Scroll & read

The long read

Phone, tablet, a long article. Your head stays held level while your eyes do the looking down.

Gift it

For the people you love

One strap, one dial, nothing to pump. A thoughtful gift for the parent who's always rubbing their neck.

Why NAPE exists

We built the neck support we'd actually wear.

I owned a bulky neck collar. I wore it twice. It was hot, heavy, and slow to put on, so it lived in a drawer while my neck ached every day at 3pm.

So we spent 9 months and 13 prototypes building one light enough to forget about. That was the only rule.

If it doesn't earn a place in your day, send it back.

Actually feels like my neck gets a break

“I spend probably 10+ hours between my laptop and phone. By the evening my neck used to feel insanely heavy. I use this for a short session after work and it genuinely feels like my neck finally gets a break.”

The hump was honestly what made me buy it

For me it wasn't even pain at first. I kept noticing this bump at the base of my neck in photos and it made me really self conscious. Then eventually I started getting that tight, heavy feeling after long shifts too. I tried stretches from YouTube but I'd do them for three days and forget. With this I just leave it beside the couch so I actually remember. I'm not expecting some miracle overnight but I can already tell I'm holding my head differently throughout the day. I catch myself before I start leaning forward now. That's probably been the biggest thing for me.

I kept rubbing the same spot every night

Every night without fail I'd sit on the sofa and rub that exact spot where my neck meets my shoulders. My husband even used to joke that I needed a massage subscription.
I tried changing my pillow. Changed my desk chair. Raised my monitor. Used a massage gun. All of those helped a little but I still kept putting my head forward without realizing it.
This is the first thing that made me really notice the position itself.
Now when I start creeping toward the screen, I actually catch it.
Still use my massage gun btw 😂 but definitely not reaching for it every single night like before.

Fits into real life

I have a 9 month old so I'm not doing some perfect 30-minute posture routine every morning lol.
Some days I barely remember lunch.
This is doable. I can use it while the baby is playing beside me or when I'm watching TV at night. That's what I needed—something that fits into my actual messy life, not an imaginary version of me who wakes up at 5am and stretches every day.

Bought Mom one after seeing how she sits

My mom is retired and somehow spends more time on her tablet than I spend on my phone.
Every time I visited, she'd be sitting on the couch with her chin practically touching her chest, scrolling Facebook, then complaining that her neck was stiff.
Classic mom logic 😂.
So I got her this.
First week she called me asking if she was using it correctly. Second week she called to tell ME I needed one too.
Apparently I've created a monster.

WFH ruined my posture

Worked from my dining table for “just a few weeks” in 2020. Somehow years later I was still hunched over a laptop every day.
My posture got BAD.
I finally upgraded my chair and monitor but still found myself leaning my whole head toward the screen when concentrating. This has helped a lot with that awareness. I normally use it sometime around lunch and again when I finish work.
The funny thing is now I notice other people doing the same forward-head thing on Zoom 😂

I bought it because I hated my side profile

I'm just gonna be honest because everyone talks about “neck health” but vanity is what got me 😂. I hated how my posture looked from the side. My chin looked forward, shoulders rounded and there was that little hump starting at the back.
I kept trying to consciously stand straight but the second I stopped thinking about it I'd go right back.
What I like about this is I can actually FEEL the position instead of telling myself “shoulders back, chin back” all day long.
Been keeping it near my vanity and using it pretty regularly. Still working on it, obviously, but I already feel less slouched in photos.

I've gone through the whole ergonomic desk rabbit hole.
Standing desk: bought it.

And somehow I was still sitting there with my head six inches forward 😂.
Turns out you can own an amazing desk setup and still have terrible habits. This made me much more conscious of my neck position, which is what I was missing.

My wife looked at me like ???

I handed my wife a neck support for our anniversary.
Yes, I realize how romantic that sounds.
She looked at me like I had lost my mind 😂.
In my defense she works from home and talks about her neck almost every day. She tried it that evening, liked it, and now uses it regularly.
So technically I crushed the anniversary gift.

I sit. A LOT.

I'm 47 and work in accounting. During busy season I can be at my desk from early morning until dinner.
I've dealt with tightness around my neck and shoulders for years. It gets worse the longer I sit, especially when I'm reading numbers on two monitors.
I was skeptical because a lot of posture products look gimmicky. I decided to try this because it focuses more directly on the neck.
It's easy to adjust and takes very little time. I normally use it in the evening now.
I wouldn't call anything an instant fix, but personally it has become one of the few posture-related products I actually continue using.

Actually useful gift

I'm trying to stop buying my husband things that become clutter.
He doesn't need another wallet.
He doesn't need another bottle.
He definitely doesn't need another novelty gadget.
What he DOES do is work at a computer all day and complain about his neck every evening.
So I bought this.
It's been sitting beside his office chair for weeks now and I see him use it all the time. Honestly I'd rather give somebody something slightly boring that improves their everyday routine than another “cool” gift they forget about after Christmas.

Game changer for long editing days

Editing days can easily turn into 10-12 hours for me, especially when clients send revisions late. The worst part is I completely stop noticing my posture once I'm focused.
I started leaving this literally beside my keyboard.

FAQ

Questions, answered honestly.

Still not sure?

Send us your question, or your neck measurement, and a real person will reply.

hello@trynape.com

The product

How does it actually work?

The chin rest carries part of your head's weight down the column to a base that rests on your chest and collarbones. The dial sets the height. Your neck gets to rest instead of holding your head up alone.

Is it comfortable enough to wear for a while?

The chin rest and the inside of the base are padded, and it's open at the throat, so nothing wraps your neck in foam. The whole thing weighs 120g.

How long should I wear it each day?

Start with 15 minutes, 2 times a day. As your neck gets used to it, build up to 45 minutes.
Wear it during focused work, reading, or rest.

Can I talk while wearing it?

Yes. You can talk normally while you wear it.

Will it fit me?

Yes. NAPE is one size that adjusts to you: the strap wraps around the back of your neck and the dial sets the chin-rest height, so it sits right on any neck.

How is this different from an inflatable collar?

Inflatable collars wrap your whole neck and need pumping. NAPE holds you at two points, chin and chest, and adjusts with one dial. No pump, and open at the throat.

Won't it make my neck muscles weak?

NAPE is for resting your neck during long sessions, not for replacing movement. Keep taking breaks and doing chin tucks, and follow the wear guidance that comes in the box.

Is it for me?

I've tried neck products before. Why would this be different?

Most people we hear from didn't fail. Their product just wasn't wearable enough to use every day. NAPE was built around that, and you have 30 days to decide.

Is it OK for older adults?

It's light, with one strap and one dial. If you or your parent has a diagnosed neck condition, an injury, or recent surgery, check with a doctor first.

Who shouldn't use NAPE?

Anyone with a neck injury, recent surgery, a fracture, or a diagnosed spinal condition, unless their doctor says it's OK. Anyone who has been prescribed a medical collar should keep using that.

Can I wear it to sleep, drive, or exercise?

No. We only suggest uses we've confirmed. NAPE is made for upright rest during screen time, reading, and focused work.

Shipping, returns & care

When will it arrive?

Orders ship in 1–2 days. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it's on the way.

What's your guarantee?

Wear it for 30 days. If your neck doesn't feel the difference, send it back for a refund. Full terms are in our refund policy.

How do I clean it?

Easily. The straps and pads come off, so you can just throw them in the washing machine.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Every NAPE comes with a 1-year warranty.

NAPE is a comfort and support product. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. If you have a neck injury, recent surgery, a diagnosed spinal condition, or ongoing pain, talk to a healthcare professional before use. Stop using it if you feel pain, numbness, dizziness, or discomfort.

Your neck's been working all day

Let something else hold up your head for a while.

Two points of support. One dial. 120g. Feel the support from the first wear.
